200 metres down the fairway

Improve your tee shot performance with a club (not necessarily a traditional driver).

140 to go instead of 170 metres left, is a huge change in approach shot challenge.

You want 180, 200, even a little more metres, but almost always in the fairway.

That will require a consistent shot shape, so that you can make maximum use of the fairway width.

More consistency on approach

Your swing technique now needs to deliver more consistently solid shots with mid and short irons.

Add some smart game management on approach. What is your safe carry distance with each club? Where is the safe miss? Where is the largest part of the green?

Three short-game improvements

1. You want to be able to consistently play a 20, 30, 40 metre pitch shot with some control.

2. Be comfortable with speed control on chipping with a technique that means no fat or thin contact.

3. Learn to lag putt effectively so that you reduce 3-putts.
