But an elite short-game means it’s still a safe birdie opportunity.

Your technique needs to deliver a higher level of consistency on both width and distance accuracy. 

You’re not just trying to hit greens. You’re trying to reduce your mid iron dispersion to a 20-foot ring around your target.  

An elite short-game

From around the green you need to be up and down 50% of the time. 

That will require a good control over flight, landing, and spin. 

Three-putts will be a rarity. From 20 feet you’re scaring the hole. From inside 5 feet you’re almost always sinking the putt.
