Become more consistent from 40 metres in

Practise your technique on every visit to the club to hit more consistent chip and pitch shots, and practise your putting: the less 3-putts the better.

Keep the ball in play

Use clubs you can control (even it if means leaving the driver in the bag). The standard driver has the longest shaft in the bag, making it the hardest club to control. Aim for big, safe targets like the centre of the fairway or green. It's about more consistency with safer shots that avoid penalty strokes.

The right mindset

It’s not about pars and birdies. Bogey golf is 90! So, plan each hole with that thought in mind. That includes finding shots into the green that take greenside bunkers out of play. That may mean laying up short even on Par 4s.

Play it as a Par 5
Laying up short of the 1st bunker makes sense.
And so does leaving the 2nd short of the green.
